Home Cleaning in Vancouver
Recurring cleaning works best when everyone agrees in advance what "clean" means. Most dissatisfaction with a cleaner is not poor work — it is a mismatch between what was expected and what was scoped, and that is fixable with one conversation at the start.
What a standard clean covers
A standard visit is maintenance: floors vacuumed and washed, all reachable surfaces dusted, kitchen counters and exterior of appliances wiped, bathrooms cleaned throughout, mirrors, and general tidying as you have asked for it. For a typical two-bedroom that is about three hours and $290.
What it does not include is anything requiring furniture to be moved, appliance interiors, inside cabinets, window tracks, or scrubbing built-up limescale and grease. Those belong to a deep clean. A standard visit assumes the home is already broadly in order and keeps it that way — it is not designed to recover one that is not.
Recurring vs. one-off visits
Recurring visits get easier and faster over time. The first is always the longest because it is absorbing however long it has been since the last proper clean; by the third, the same time buys noticeably more because nothing has been left to build up.
Weekly suits households with children, pets or people working from home. Every second week is the most common choice and works well for most. Monthly is really a light deep clean each time rather than maintenance, and it is worth being realistic that a month of accumulation is a different job.
Products and allergy considerations
We bring everything, including machines. If anyone in the house has asthma, a fragrance sensitivity or a specific allergy, tell us at booking and we will use unscented products throughout rather than swapping one room at a time.
The same goes for surfaces that ordinary products damage: natural stone, waxed or oiled wood, and anything with a delicate coating. These are ruined by cleaners used in complete good faith, and the damage does not come back out. Thirty seconds of warning prevents it entirely.
Access and key handling
You do not need to be home, and most regular customers are not. The arrangement is agreed in writing before the first visit — a key, a lockbox code, a concierge, or a smart lock code that you can revoke whenever you like. Our preference is the revocable code, because it puts the control with you.
We work every day, 6am–10pm, which makes it practical to schedule around a working day at either end rather than only in the middle of it. Regular slots keep the same day and time, which is rather the point: the whole value of this is that you stop thinking about it.
What this costs
$290 standard · deep clean $580–$1,100
Standard clean is a three-hour visit for a typical two-bedroom. Deep and move-out cleans are quoted on size and condition, and we bring everything.
Materials are always separate from labour and passed on at cost. Quotes are free and written, and the full rate card is published rather than given out on request.
Common questions
What is included in a standard clean?
Floors, all reachable surfaces, kitchen counters and appliance exteriors, bathrooms throughout, mirrors and general tidying — around three hours and $290 for a typical two-bedroom. Appliance interiors, insides of cabinets, window tracks and anything needing furniture moved belong to a deep clean instead.
Do you bring your own supplies?
Everything, machines included. If you would rather we used your products — for stone, oiled wood, an allergy or a pet — leave them out and tell us. Do flag delicate surfaces in advance: ordinary cleaners used in good faith on marble or waxed wood cause damage that cannot be undone.
Do I need to be home?
No, and most regular customers are not. We agree access in writing beforehand — key, lockbox, concierge or a smart lock code you can revoke. The revocable code is our preference because it leaves control with you rather than with us.
