Cleaning

Commercial Sanitization in Vancouver

In a workplace, the sanitising is only half the deliverable. The other half is being able to show what was done, where, when and by whom — because that is what an employer needs when a staff member, a client or an inspector asks.

Documented protocols and logs

Each site gets a written protocol: which areas, which touchpoints, which products, what contact time, and at what frequency. It is a specific document for your premises rather than a generic sheet, because a workshop and an open-plan office share almost nothing about how people move and what they touch.

Each visit is logged against it — date, time, areas completed, product used, initials. On request we provide those records. The reason to keep them is not bureaucracy: without a log, a question about whether something was done three weeks ago cannot be answered, and "I believe so" is not an answer that helps anyone.

WorkSafeBC alignment

British Columbia employers have obligations to their workers around a safe workplace, and cleaning and sanitising practices form part of how that is met. Our part is to make our work documentable so it can be pointed at, and to use products appropriately for an occupied workplace.

We carry WorkSafeBC coverage for our own people. Safety data sheets for every product we use on your site are available on request — some workplaces are required to hold these, and it is far easier to have them filed in advance than to be looking for them when somebody asks.

Scheduling around occupancy

Disinfection needs contact time, and contact time means wet surfaces that people should not be using. Outside occupied hours is the cleaner option and we work every day, 6am–10pm, which covers most shift patterns at one end or the other.

Where it must happen during business hours, we work in zones — a section at a time, signed while wet, released when dry — so the space stays usable throughout. It takes longer overall than an empty building, and that is the honest trade for not closing.

Communicating to staff and clients

People believe what they can see. A dated card in the washroom and the kitchen, and a note at reception, does more for confidence than a more thorough clean nobody knows happened. Ask us for the schedule in a form you can display.

Be accurate in what you display. Say what was sanitised and when, not that the premises are "safe" or "sterile" — neither is a claim anybody can stand behind, and overstating it invites exactly the scrutiny you were trying to avoid. Precise and modest is more convincing than sweeping.

What this costs

$290 standard · deep clean $580–$1,100

Standard clean is a three-hour visit for a typical two-bedroom. Deep and move-out cleans are quoted on size and condition, and we bring everything.

Materials are always separate from labour and passed on at cost. Quotes are free and written, and the full rate card is published rather than given out on request.

Common questions

Do you provide sanitisation records?

Yes, on request. Each site has a written protocol covering areas, touchpoints, products, contact times and frequency, and each visit is logged against it with date, time, areas completed and initials. Safety data sheets for the products used on your site are available too — easier filed in advance than hunted for later.

Can this happen during business hours?

It can, working zone by zone — a section signed while wet and released when dry — so the space stays usable. It takes longer than an empty building, which is the honest trade for not closing. Outside hours is cleaner and simpler, and we work every day, 6am–10pm, which covers most shift patterns.

What areas are prioritised?

Shared touchpoints before surfaces: door handles and push plates, lift buttons, stair rails, washroom taps and flushes, kitchen appliance handles, shared keyboards and phones, and reception desks. Those carry the traffic. Floors and desktops matter for appearance but are not where transmission concentrates.
